Monthly Production Numbers Show The Extent To Which Chrysler Had Been Overbuilding

Quote:
Last month, Chrysler built 4,314 Chrysler 300 sedans, down from 13, 666 in January of 2006. It built 5,437 Dodge Chargers last month, down from almost 9,100 a year ago. And it 1,622 Magnum wagons last month, down from 4,164 a year ago.

We all know by now that Chrysler was severely over-building many of its models last year to keep production, profits and productivity at its factories up. But Yeow! Nothing like seeing it in the numbers.
