Default Comparing 2011 STi Sedan to 2011 WRX Sedan

What makes the 2011 STi better than the 2011 WRX as a DD ?

Factors considered so far:
STi Pros: stronger 6speed transmission, better brakes, LSD, bit more WHP
STi Cons: more weight and higher cost to purchase, maintain and fuel

what else is there to consider ?

Looks -- up to you
Availability-- actually being able to find the car

Killer for me was insurance. STI was over double the rates of the WRX for me.

I went from a $45k Tundra to a $26k 2010 WRX and was seriously considering the $37k STI, but after test driving both of them I did not see the justification of $11k for a daily driver. However if I could do it all again I would purchase the STI and actually I am seriously considering trading in my 9mo old WRX for a 2011 STI. Finding rims for the WRX 5x100 bolt pattern is frustrating - if there was a conversion kit to the STI 5x114.3 I would jump on it!

For a DD both are great cars, just depends on what you can afford. Heck one might argue that the base model Impreza is the best DD for the money.

Also don't forget that the STI will run you about $25 to $50 per month more to insure.

Consider that this is a TECHNICAL forum, not a hand holding help me purchase a car forum. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1679821 is what you need to read and after having done so you will have the information you need. If not, you are not ready to buy any car.
