Oh! You're not kidding! Congrats! Which year? I like the changes to the JDM Forester with the headlights and such. I wasn't sure if those made it over to the USDM Forester yet though.

2016, I think the changes are mostly starlink related

Why not just get a great deal on a 2015 then? Then import that JDM 2016 parts?

Dealer doesn't have 15s and I want starlink

Also what great deal? 0.9% (vs 1.9%)financing but not much aside from that

I meant paying less for the car, like near Invoice or whatever.

Starlink is pretty cool. If the price haggling is about the same for either year, I'd pay a bit more for newer and that there Starlink sorcery.

Our dealer just does fixed prices that are fairly decent for the area. I could drive all over the place haggling for a better price but I don't really feel like it. But yeah there was no way I was skipping starlink. I mean it may prove to be not as good as I though but time will tell.

So I'm fairly clear on the differences between the 2013 FR-S and BRZ, but how has that changed in 2016? I read somewhere (here) that there are 10x as many FR-Ss made as BRZs, so I'm wondering if Toyota/Scion are continue to develop and add new options that aren't filtering over to Subaru, or whether they are still staying mostly the same?

Mostly the same. The idea was always to make significantly fewer BRZ because Subaru wanted to show off its prowess while not worrying about advertising it.

Toyota has made a few parts exclusive to their model, and now Scion has carried some of them over stateside, but otherwise they're still the same as before. MY2017 should be a whole other story though.

I got my BRZ mostly because it didn't say "Scion" on it. Plus the trim was better than the FRS and had HID/LED and just saying again because it was a Subaru and not a Scion.

Default Brand and style

I like Subaru's brand name better than Scion. Seems Scion's brand marketing is to mostly 20-30 years old folks. The BRZ looks more mature than the FRS. Also, BRZ comes with better packages and more expensive. Overall, the front bumper looks better on BRZ.
