Post Hmmm..Hakkinen faster w/o traction control at Barcelona

In the post-race, when asked about his lap that was very close to Schumacher's pole time, he admitted that he turned his TC off. Makes you wonder about those driver's "aids," huh?

I wonder about race conditions, if the same holds true?

Yes it does make you wonder.

I did like the shot of Rueben's car shifting all by itself with his right hand off the wheel pulling a tear-off

I am looking forward to another early weekend morning, hope it's interesting.

I think having TC turned on is akin to flipping on the AC in your road car, boggs the engine just enough... so that's why Mika was able to get so close to Schumi's time.

I really wish they would take both of these ..."advancements" OFF of the cars. The standing start was about as much fun as watching paint dry. And having a fully automatic trans is just assinine. Matchet was going off about it, saying "yes it takes away from the driver but this is a TEAM sport." OK, great... but when all it takes to launch an 800hp, 1200lbs car is to push THREE buttons... and yes that's all it takes, it makes the whole thing feel kind of cheap to me.

meebs im so with you. what happened to the clutch and the manual gear box? they are trying to get as much technology as they can so that driver skill matters less, which IMO, sucks!
