So the pdip smoke just makes them look cloudy... lol
VHT + clearcoat or vinyl wrap look much better, i do believe. |

Yea it helps let people know to never ever use it on head or tailights. Looks really awful imo! I have the half tinted overlays and it looks great compared to that! |

I think its different. Not everyone is going to like it. I like it. I use to have a mx6 and I painted them translucent red.
I also agree it doesnt look smooth like the vht+clear coat. but plati dip isnt a smooth material. |

Its not even about it being/looking smooth. It's the plain and simple fact that they make the lights look old and tired. They don't even give off a smoked look. Like another member said it gives off a, "cloudy" look. Now the translucent red im sure looks way better.

How hard would it be to plastidip a whole full size truck? Unsure if I have a garage to work in or not. Also this is a work truck and the hood paint had ALOT of chips/flaky paint. What would be the suggestion on the hood?

Its because I only put 5 coats on it. If you look on other videos when people use a entire can on one set of lights it looks like vht.

so to all you plastidipped scoobs out there, does bird poop leave stains or discolor the dip?
for some reason birds are just attracted to my car, and i dont wanna spend all the effort to dip the whole car just to peel it a month later..... |

how does this do with bad scratches and imperfection in the body/real paint?
Will it fill in scratches and look alright? |

Also, I had the smoke on my tails as well to try to cover up the altezza ricer look, but thought the same...looks cloudy or dirty or something. Only kept it for a week or two, probably just getting overlays. If there were a clear red plasti dip, I would immediately buy and apply it. |
