My 02 WRC tribute build (100+mods)
Warning! When you have something nice and different from everything else, it brings out a lot of **** talking and mud slinging. Get your **** kickers on before reading this thread! The trolls are obsessing over my car. Read through here and you'll see.
Update as of July 3, 2011-- Suspension complete! Added sti aluminum control arms, whiteline ALK, whiteline roll center adjust, perrin equal length header, sti oil pan/stick/pickup kit, and tein super street plus pillow ball. Check out "LAST" page for most recent discussion and pics! Featured with Pete Stop Motor Company & FigsFotos.com in Tuning Turkiye magazine Hey everyone, I thought I had better start a gallery for this vehicle. It's been sometime since I started the build, but what I'm going for is the *tribute of Subaru's 2001 WRC car on my 02 WRX. NOTE: This thread has brought up some controversy about what is - and what isn't a rally car. I changed the title of this thread to avoid the obsessive trolling that has been going on. I don't mind constructive criticism, but speak your peace and leave it at that. Don't come back and keep filling this thread with your obsessive rants about how YOU think MY car should be built. If you read through this thread, you'll quickly see it's getting to be an issue. I've got a lot of mods done already, so let me list them off here to start out with, and some pics as well. I'm taking this car on tour of North America, if you want to see it, ride in it through a cone or off road course, "demand" me so I know where to visit! Click here to demand me--> http://eventful.com/performers/micha...01-000244201-4 Ride inside SubyPaL.com's engine bay Pictures: (See streetfire.net album for all 400+)

I was expecting a launsport kit or something.
I think you could leave a few things out of your mod list... haha like the clamps and stuff haha. Nice bugeye though. |

that grill isn't very wrc looking, look into the ociari (sp?) one.
Also check out Paulie's car top scoob #1 for inspiration. If youre creative you can make a bugeye look very similar to a rally car without spending too much $$$ |

Things like that don't constitute being mods. Especially is you are going to use your "mod list" to brag. Not saying he did it to brag, but just making a point.
If I had a "mod list", I wouldn't add "new coolant, new computer with a tuning program on it, new hose clamps so stuff doesn't leak, etc. etc." to it. That stuff is just a given most of the time. |

man a new "new computer" if by that you mean ECU is expensive to replace.
you and others who hate only waste time by telling people how they don't do things how you would.. well its not you so quit worrying about it. I understand how people who like to get a rise or could want to continue this negative back and forth conversation will try and turn this around, but I won't reply to this again. Just know that when you do something negative towards another it doesn't help anything, it only makes you look bad. |

I never tried to be mean toward anyone on here...? I'm confused as to where this hating began...?
I was simply making the point that his title of (100+ mods) is a bit overboard. Sorry if that put your panties in a wad... |

LOL yeah I know I'm keeping a manifest of everything done for my personal reasons.. I could really just shorten the mod list to
20g/ewg/tbe/UTEC ;p Thanks for the referral to that top scoob, I really like what he's done with it. I just finished up the oil feed line today, that is a b*tch with everything installed but I got it done. I just have to get some more coolant, and then fire her up again. It really needs a tune though, I was running a OS map with stock injectors and stock turbo at 19.5 psi basically maxing out the injectors.. it's still in there and it's running pig rich. So once I get all the quarks worked out, my tuner "3gsucks" is going to reflash me and help me setup the UTEC (hopefully)... I can't wait to hear that 2 step with an ewg lol.. beastly |
