Default '13 WRX Blown turbo and other issues

Hey everyone,

So my stock drivetrain '13 wrx (37k miles) had its turbo go the other day, surprised me as I dont drive it very hard and it has low mileage.

So ok fine, annoying but covered under powertrain warranty.

But I also have an issue with a solenoid and my brake light sensor (the one that sets off the the ABS / hill assist / traction control lights.

I was surprised when my dealership told me neither of these are covered under powertrain (I thought at least the brake light sensor would... its a safety device???).

Just wanted to make sure this is normal and Im not getting screwed, as I couldnt find exact verbiage in the warranty info.

Thanks,
Mike

What does a brake light switch have to do with a power train warranty? Say it with me now POWERTRAIN...."engine and trans". Realistically the only other warranty you have is for your emissions devices. Nothing else.
