Always tempting. I was really stupid to get rid of mine.

Still, 34mpg>24mpg.

Speaking of stereos, while it's still a bit fiddly I've gotten used to the radio and have come to rather like it.

You guys are easing my worries on the gas mileage, thanks. All issues and worries I had have gone except the boost gauge which that kinda crap happens.

That gauge is useless anyway.

What??? There is nothing bad with the BRZ...

I dislike MFT. It's stupid for a computer.

MFT is better than anything else out there.

Any brakes yet?

I've heard U Connect is good.

Why doesn't someone make backing plate templates and send them to Porterfield or whatever good brake company is cool these days?

Oh...got my COBB air filter today.

My old Uconnect kn the Jeep was horrible. Basic at best. Only slightly better than the old V nav setup which was the worst ever. iDrive in my M was pretty good but still not this good imo.

Porterfield made some for someone and he sent them back. There was a thread about how bad they were and didnt fit well.

Sounds good to me. I could do without those cheap looking eyebrow gauges.

Sync is a brand name on top of windows automotive 5.0. Shouldn't be too hard to come across a sdk that provides full obdii access.

my biggest complaint has become the seats, they hold you in place like a bream but completely lack leg support and I get sciatic pain in my leg when I drive it for ~45 minutes or more. Going to have to talk an upholstery shop to see if I can get some more cushion shoved in the front of the seat bottom.

I also wouldn't mind a bit more juice and noise from the motor. Just gotta collect up 1300 for an exhaust.

Hey bacdoc, gneiss what car has about a dozen different options for brakes?

$1300 for an exhaust? Enjoy your 2hp per $1k gains. You'll be putting down 164 at the wheels any day now.

I'd much rather be driving the BRZ than the boat that the Mustang is. WAY WAY to heavy/big/long/tall.

Different strokes Hans.

I respect the current mustang in all it's various flavors, but they do absolutely nothing for me. It would not be car that I'd turn around just to look at. The BRZ is just perfect FOR ME.

12 WHP dyno verified gain. But I want it just as much for the sound and weight savings as any power gain.

He'll be running with Accords and Camries in no time!

That's about what Mustang catbacks run actually. But they're also double the size too. Not sure about the BRZ, but they're a waste of of money on the 'stangs. An axleback will give you the sound and an off road pipe will give you more performance for a lot less. Full catback systems on the stangs are largely just expensive noise makers.

Apparently the ST is solely responsible for Ford's non-existent 40% jump in stock price....

http://www.focusst.org/forum/focus-s...40-due-st.html

Yeah, selling a couple thousand STs for a company that sold over two million cars in the US alone last year is sure impacting the bottom line!

Modern car enthusiasts do not seem to be all that intelligent.

The article that's linked in that post does make a good point about ST buyers being "aspirational buyers". That is, guys in their late teens/early twenties buying their first performance car when they know absolutely nothing about cars.
