Default Low profile ramps

Anybody have a suggestion for ramps for my STI? I looked at the rhino ramps and my car just cleared them. Since I am putting on some RCE yellow springs I doubt I would clear them after that. Anybody know of a reasonably priced low profile ramp for our cars? even after they are lowered?

Not sure of a brand, but I am borrowing a set next weekend to do my swaybars and endlinks, and the guy I am borrowing them from said they came with extensions for cars that are lowered.

when i had my vw that was real low, what i did was cut 2x4's and placed them infront of the rhino ramps and it allowed me to get on them and off. Not sure if that would work with the sti since in my mind the vw was a more shorter front than the wrx/sti's have

I have a set of low profile ramps i think i got from Pep Boys. They worked good till i put the front lip on. Thankfully i bought the replica lip from Mach V so it flexed a little without doing any damage. Im getting ready to install a set of GF210 lowering springs.....so i guess ill be looking for some "lower profile" ramps now

These aren't cheap, but will help getting super low cars off the ground to fit a jack under or whatever...

They're called Tomioka Super Slope Ramps.

$68 I believe is the going price for them...

Only if they raised the car up a little more....just enough to get underneathe to do an oil change, they would be perfect

You can buy pretty much the same thing from Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. for 30 bucks.

I've got Rhino ramps, and these are much lower than the Rhino ramps. I don't have a set, but I've seen pics of people who have used them. It's mainly for cars that are dropped super low and need some space to get a jack under them.

True
I couldn't tell the size from the photo. Local guy here has his wagon on Prodrive springs (IIRC) and his cleared without issue.

You can extend this idea out further from the ramp buy just getting wider planks. Cut a couple of 24" sections of 2x12 and I'm sure you'll be OK unless you're super low. Even then you could stack a shorter section of 2x12 on top and glue or nail them together.

If you have trouble with the ramp moving, rig up something that hooks the ramp and wood together when in use.

i have just the standard metal ramps and use a piece of wood on both saids as extenders. Works just fine and cost me $0. oh i forgot to say I am on S-techs.

The Tomioka Low Down Slopes are pretty nice and light weight, just kind of expensive.

NRG makes the "slope box" and it looks a little bit higher, and it goes for around $45. The only thing is I can't tell if its sold singly or as a pair!

Another thing that concerns me about the NRG is that its completely flat..so if you're not careful, you could drive right off the edge. At least the Tomioka ones have a dip for the wheel to sit.

I looked into getting low-profile ramps at one point, but couldn't justify the cost since I winded just using two pieces of wood. I drive up on them and I have enough room to get my jack underneath

I have a set of Tomiokas and they lift my car enough to do and oilchange, my car is on RCE yellows and konis and im not a small guy, but i can fit under enough to undoo all the bits and do and oilchange. tho i still recommend jacking the back up a bit to level out the car and get all the oil out or you will have some in the rear of the pan.

My car is an '06 WRX lowered on JDM pinks... I bought those griots ramps with extensions (super nice btw) but I still just rub my front bumper on them. I tape a piece of paper towel to the bottom of my bumper on each side that rubs to protect the paint and use them.

Back from the dead again. I have RCE yellows and a front lip and can't find a ramp my car will drive up on. For race ramps if you stick a yard stick out from under your tire and measure where it contacts the front of you car it tells you if you car fits. The lowest ramps they have require 6.5 inches of clearance, I have 4.5. The race ramps are the lowest I have found. Blitz ramps don't work either.

I am aware of the 2x12 ramps. Don't need advice on how to do that. Im also not looking for advice on jacks or jack stands. I
Any body seen any other ramp options?

Why are you against the 2x10 ramps?

Was hoping for something a little easier to store.

Race Ramps would be perfect if the approach was lower.
