They keep pushing the date farther and farther back. At this rate I'm gonna miss WBM.

I think it may be the bpv now that I think about it. That would make sense but I've never heard this sound before

Yup, sounds like a push pull valve that's not sprung enough.

I talked to bren about it and he said the spring should be good up to 20psi... but the stock valve is actually harder to push in than the Cobb. Guess ill switch to a forge

BOVs aren't sprung for boost, they're spring for vacuum.

I know this, but the way the Cobb works is similar to an atmospheric bov. The adjustment screw is for tensioning the spring inside to change how fast it reacts to pressure changes.

Edit: and I periodicly see -20/-22 for vacuum. This may be the issue

That's fine for vacuum.

Tighten that valve, see what happens.

I can't tighten it much more. There's about an 1/8th inch of thread left before it disappears into the jam nut

No! It all started with him asking if I was still on stock turbo, and me knowing he'd be trolling if I said yes, said it was not turbo. And apparently he got pretty mad.

No it has a front mount. He must be pushing some serious power out of that little 1.8t ko3 to need an intercooler that big

I don't understand Volkswagen people at all... It's almost like they try to make there car as ugly and tacky as possible and then consider it "unique".
