There is NO WAY that you had enough pressure in them, look at how far onto the sidewall they rolled, RE92's done even roll like that when properly inflated.

Youve never driven on SP-5000s, have you, then... they roll terribly until you have 50psi in 'em.

I slaughtered a set in 15k miles running them at reccomended pressures.

I agree. I don't think they're any better than the RE-92's for AutoX.

Re-92's? In my possession? Just one set. I've sold/given away 2 other sets.

But, I've also got the following:

16" Azenis
17" Azenis
16" Yoko A0032 (or something like that)
17" Kumho Ecsta's
16" Nokian NRW's
16" Toyo RA-1's (picking up on Sunday)

Had 16" Kumho V700's (long story)

did you still want to sell me your 16" Azenis?

Actually, I'll be buying new ones within the next month...only $89/each, not too bad.

Probably not, since they're worth more to me than what I can get for them.

GTF: I think that's the stock size price.

Now to totally high-jack I'm debating getting

215-45-16's if I keep my RS wheels. I'm thinking the lower profile tires will have a stiffer sidewall than the stock 55 size.....this a good theory anyway?

yeah, that could be the case. But I'm pretty sure the Azenis all have a pretty damn stiff sidewall no matter which size you get.

Plus, you lower the gearing = better acceleration for auto-x. I've been running that size for the past two summers.
