Thumbs up I think I may have possibly just tested the best rifle optic ever.

Tested two ACOGs at work today. One was a 4x32 with a red reticle, the other was the highest magnification model (can't remember the exact magnification) and it had an amber reticle.

First and foremost, let me just say that I have been shopping for a good sight for my AR-15 for quite some time now, and I always thought EOTech dominated in terms of performance, that is, until today.

I've used EOTechs before and they seemed really great, which is why I bought the lower profile holosight from bushnell (same maker of the eotech)... Its a lower profile sight and I've been very happy with it... It's sleek, light, rugged as hell, very visible with 15 settings of brightness... But why do I now regret buying it?

F'ing ACOG! Why did I have to try you? WHY!? Upon first inspection of the ACOG, the first thing you notice is how friggin rugged and rock solid it is... I have never in my life felt a better quality optic on any rifle, and I have played with $3000 scopes on other rifles. Its very heavy duty, and every piece of it just feels perfectly made to fit, every adjustment knob, everything... Then I looked through it...

WOW! What a clear view of my target... bright, nothing fancy, nothing too much... JUST right for an AR-15. The mounts were so rock solid that it made the eotech seem like a big 57 chevy mounted to your rifle!

God dammit, why did I have to try this thing... WHY!? Now I have to have one... The 4x32 variety is my fav... The higher magnification limits your view point/perspective... The 4x32 is beyond awesome.

I think I'm going to sell some guns to get it... thats how badly I want one. it makes the rifle 50x better than without one... I can't believe how amazing this damn sight was. Never in my life did I think I'd be THIS impressed with an optic!

I rate a 10/10 easy. Everything about it was awesome... There isn't anything I didn't like... Not a damn thing. The objective view was just so big and easy to use... just simply amazing.

Now, that Blaser sniper rifle is going to have to wait... ACOG > Blaser. (Did I just say that?)

If any of you have an ACOG for sale, PLEASE, I beg of you, sell it to me!!!

(When I say best rifle optic ever, I'm not referring to thermal imaging scopes, those, are the best optics ever)

Dude I got both of those scopes in COD4, dominate, meet me in overgrown if you want to go shooting some time.

Those are pretty sick though, my buddy has an M4 and was telling me the prices of his upgrades...not cheap.

I play COD4, and you can't compare the game to the real deal... I mean, you get an idea, but in real life compared to other optics, this ACOG kicks the **** out of anything!

Does the second one have an ACOG on the bottom and then red dot on the top. I will assume that you watch generation kill brucelee, they dude in charge has that huge "optic" but when they got to close combat it seemed like he was aiming off of the top of it...my knowledge is limited to COD4 and a few trips to a firing range.

The first pic you showed is the ACOG with the Docter Optic (Yes, Docter is how they spell it) and those are very, very nice. Heads up sighting and 4x32 magnification in one package. I'll take mine in black atop a Noveske in .223 or .308 please.

I have option number 2. Uncle Sam issued it to me at no charge...... Yeah, I was like, Dubba Tee Eff???

It's nice but I like my old Aimpoint better. There's just something about a red-dot that gives me a warm fuzzy....oh yeah, it's that all my missions are in an urban environment and 3x magnification is a detriment under 300m.

Shot me all over the face, huh?

So, do you really mean you're going to shoot me or are you just trying to sound tough? Either way you douched it up.

But here's the thing, you'll continue to pump out crappy thread after crappy thread and no one will say anything. I can't understand the brucee phenomenon. Is it the basic, yet oh-so-repetitive nature of your topics? You know, guns, guns, your wife and how she likes your guns.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel. There is no challenge, no talent and no imagination in making a gun thread; people will like it because it's about guns. Subbiewagon could make a gun thread people like.

Your threads pop us like stores on the time-lapse wal-mart map. Each the same as the next. Each uninspired. Each a paragon of mediocrity unto itself.
