I've driven by the place. It looks very minimal in the subaru dept. Its primarily a motorhome business with just like one model or so of each subaru for sale on the lot.

When I first started shopping for the WRX, I went to them and asked if they'd give a better price than the big dealerships in calgary, and they said "no" in a very "I'm bored" fashion.

Never thought about them since...

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

hey dude I'm in Innisfail and have called them several times.

For parts I had a tough time getting any help (The person could not understand what I meant by uppipe and downpipe gaskets and I needed to give them my VIN twice before they even knew what vehicle I was driving).

I've called for service twice and have gotten a matter of fact "don't have time today for it."

No offense to anyone, but short of an emergency I'll use calgary or Edmonton.

I didn't get any sort of feeling of care or concern for my business in the least.

Welcome to Red Deer! It's a great place to live!

I'll give you a local's opinion. I've been dealing with Uncle Ben's since I moved here at the beginning of 2001. The service department is good enough. If you get to know them, they are very helpful. They still aren't as good as Rally in Edmonton, but they've been able to fix everything I've thrown at them.

As far as sales people, Dennis is the guy to talk to. The other guys are arrogant pricks... just like all of the sales people in Edmonton. I have now bought 2 Subarus from him (2002 WRX and 2005 STi... both brand new).

Having grown up in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto I can honestly say that Red Deer is the best place to live. Although, all of the nice parks and walking trails along the river are part of the rapids right now... but weren't not as bad off as southern Alberta.
