That's a pretty clear cut example, how does it come into play on current day ledgers at the major oil companies and how much has it been shown to impact current oil prices? Is that example relevant to the estimates that have been put out by the various think tanks and interest groups?

The stated reasons are regional stability, peace and humanitarian assistance if I recall correctly. Certainly our military can bring a very large amount of stability to an area if we so choose. If you're trying to lead me to providing that stability because of it's effect on global oil prices, I don't think I'd argue you're entirely wrong. There's a component of national security at play that I would say takes precedence over the market influences. What I'm not buying off on is blood for oil when we don't directly take it from the places we've invaded.

I can give that specific examples because the conversations have been declassified. I can not be that specific with current events because I donít have access to those documents. What the public and mentioned think tanks do have access to is the published budgets and non-classified expenditures.

On the reasons given, there are location with far worse situations but since there are no American interest there we donít have a presence.

Yes, there are times when we are there for purely humanitarian reasons but itís not the main reasons we are in the Middle East. Want a quick fun activity? Look at troop placement during both gulf wars.

I have great appreciation for our arm forces and have a history of my own, but I have no delusions of why they are sometimes sent where they are sent. Despite Even knowing that themselves sometimes they performed their duties to preserve the US way of life and freedom. They should be respected for that.

I agree with you that we send our troops to places that benefit us. I'm willing to bet some of our current troop placement would surprise a lot of America if we knew.

To the broader point about military intervention and it's potential subsidisation of oil production, it's clear that perhaps I should be more considerate of how that factors in.

Back on topic, I have not heard back from my email proposal to use these trucks as luxury RVs.

I even gave them a simple layout, and other selling points to add value . I expect my royalty check any day now.

I don’t short stocks, it’s not my strategy and I don’t like betting against a company as I wish to see all companies succeed. I’m just not naive enough to ignore current facing issues.
