Correct, and moving it rearward puts more angle on the CV and clearance of pan to rack/x-member is a concern as well.

Solid transmission mounts are about the only mod that actually improves NVH. Ya pay $70 to make the car faster and your girlfriend's seat vibrates for free.

Joking aside, are those SM legal? That's replacing a rubber piece with aluminum. I may be way behind the times, but I thought we couldn't replace rubber pieces with metal.

Not a suspension pickup point, anything goes i think

I run all the aluminati stuff, made a big difference over the poly ones that were in there before. This is with every bushing under the car either solid or "race spec" whatever that means

This will be a lot of fun when I bring my actual street car to Zmax this year. It would be stuck in SM but be WAY out gunned...because actual daily driver status

They are SM legal. Some of the lower classes have those issues, but bushings in SM can be whatever material you desire. I only have 4 pieces of poly left in my car, and it's only because I'm lazy.

I drive my car on the street occasionally to work....like 5 times a year

I've pushed the SM dev curve at the local level a bit so I think you'll find a good number of people in SM actually running Hoosiers in the right sizes and on reasonable suspensions. For the most part at least. I run in Pro class along with several other SM guys that travel so you're safe from us

And like I've said before. I would street my car about the same, but its $250/year for 40k agreed value coverage if its not registered vs $400/year for street coverage and getting 3k if its stolen or catches on fire.

I would normally joke, but after this year in the Mustang I can only do it tongue in cheek

I imagine the OSG diffs will make it more streetable though. The cusco's made parking lot maneuvers a chore.

The solid pitch stop is even STU legal. There was a clarification a couple years ago. After I had done the legal group N one of course.

I know the feeling. A lot of my big projects recently are wrapping up right at the beginning of March so I can take time off again.

Dixie is all Subaru's except for Shoe. Should be interesting. I was hoping Hyman showed up again, but I haven't heard from him yet.

Happy to have Shoe back in the mix this year, he's a strong east coast competitor. I based allot of the decisions about my car off watching him and the things he was doing to his car the year prior. Hoping he isn't plagued with transfer case issues this year.

According to FB he's rebuilding pretty much everything in the driveline so he should be solid for a while.

I'm 99% sure he's not on Nasioc. He's on FB though. I'm also 99% sure you don't know him since he took last year off and that's when you started up.

Nice dude, good driver. One of the top prepped Evo's currently.

I wish I had started my big projects earlier cause I have been busting my ass trying to get everything ready in time. Seems like every part that I removed needed some kind of work to restore. This off season is all about trying to make my car more durable. Let the fun begin!

That's every offseason from this point on for you now

I know the feeling though. Mine still doesn't have an engine or trans in it and we're less than 4 weeks out until the first event. 2017 is going to be about incremental changes as time allows now.

I think this off season I made the tranny way more reliable, and everything bolted to the engine more reliable, but I went from running an engine built to handle 600hp running 250hp to a factory one that internet legend says holds 350-400 that I'm going to run at 400.

Yes, but you can finally say you're not running a tractor engine any more.

This is true. I can say I'm running a proper mazda designed car engine.
