Cool Is it time to put the summer wheels/tires back on yet?

I'm debating whether or not to put the summer wheels and tires back on the car. It's going to be in the 70s this weekend, but weather.com shows possibly snow 10 days out.

When are you all going to make the swap?

Personally speaking, I put my winter wheels on around Halloween, and they stay on until Easter. I know I don't have to put them on that early, or leave them on that late into the year, but I made the mistake of putting my summer wheels back on too early a couple years back, and I learned the hard way that BFGoodrich G-Force sport tires are beyond worthless in the snow.

I only have one set which is all season. I may think about getting a 2nd set with summer tires but will see how the financial status will be.

Ehh I'd probably wait to do it until the average temperature throughout the week gets into the 60's.

It's still early in March, I'd give it another two to three weeks. Remember it's not just the snow that makes summer tires suck, it's the cold.

And remember that this is the MAIC, where it can snow in April

I go from dedicated snow tires (still on ) to all season high performance (Ready for all weather )...better safe than sorry.

Im waiting for Nhat to get his tires so we can put them on together.

^.^

I would have put them on this weekend. For me it doesnt really matter. I mean, RE92s in dry are the same as RE01Rs in cold.

DCs average low temperature from February 28 to December 13th is above freezing. I checked the weather the other day and decided to put the summers back on since there wasn't any snow or freezing on the charts 10 days out. If there's a late cold snap or winter storm, I'll have to deal with that (and there is something maybe around March 14th, we'll see), but I'm gambling that we're pretty much clear.

A BIG FIVING WASTE OF MONEY

I don't think I got my $300+ worth this season. Next time around I'm going with all seasons... At least then on the 30 degree+ days of winter I won't have to deal with super mushy tread blocks and buttery soft sidewalls
