And the GT RTS was one of the worst suspension designs ever put on a trail. They admitted that not long after the LTS was out (well, at least our GT sales rep admitted it.)

Oh, and steel is real, mother****ers.

Bontrager used to make cool bikes. I have been real happy with my Titus ti hardtail. Steel may be real but it also rusts and I ride on the East Coast (wet, muddy, roots and rock).

Overrated metal. Today's steel especially rides virtually the same, lasts as long if you have an ounce of common sense and is a helluva lot cheaper. And you don't see much of a weight penalty anymore, either. Hell, when I was still on training wheels (so to speak) triple butted steel hardtails were starting to pop up. Then everyone went crazy over ti and steel went away. Sucks, but you can still find 'em if you're dedicated.

But, if you're gonna do ti, do it right. Moots builds some beauties. **** Litespeed.

IF all goes well, you'll see my recently converted Giant SS below. If not, well, too bad. I'll find someplace else to upload the pic.

Edit: I can see it. Can the rest of the intarweb??

don't know really, yet. Just finished the build last night. Prolly walk the dog with it today and get a feel for it (dirt road, packed trial that he and I have made over many, many walks).

Here's the MTB:

And the roadie:

And the fixie:

Hope they don't get too pissed that I'm linking pics on their server. Ah, well.

This looks like Walker Ranch, a sweet ride just outside of Boulder.

Nice stable C-dale. How do you like those FSA carbon pro cranks you've got on the Orbea? Ive heard they are stiff, stiff, stiff, and light to boot. I'm thinking about picking some up since I can get them for wholesale.

Thanks, I'm pleased with the two new recycled bikes.

I went with the FSA stuff instead of Campy alloy because I had read that the Campy stuff was kinda flexy under bigger guys. They don't flex much; I think they're stiffer than the 9-speed DA stuff that I had ridden before the new ride. I don't get any rubbing anywhere like I did with the old stuff. I also happen to think that they're dead sexy, but there are a lot of fogies that hate the look of carbon cranks.

Edit: Wholesale? You got some sponsors hooking you up?

I get wholesale from several suppliers as I run a mobile repair business here in Boulder. Its not really active right now, but I did about 10-15 tunes a week while I was in school. I aquired a bunch of wholesale accounts for parts then, now I use the accnts to hookup friends, family and myself.

C-Dale your road bikes look too big. Did you do that on purpose?
