Default 2004 WRX Wagon--rear right passenger window goes down, but not up?

Hi guys,

As the title suggests. I've looked at other threads and my problem seems to be a bit more unique in the sense that both the driver control panel and the rear right passenger control panel both allow the window to roll down, but not up.

At first the rear right passenger control panel was able to roll the window up, albeit slowly, but now it just doesn't work at all. All my other windows and their respective control panels seem to work perfectly, so I'm not really sure where to start. Plus, this is my first car so I'm just getting into DIY work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

It would be coincidence but both the switches can be corroded. It’s a easy fix and couldn’t hurt to try.

How to fix a window switch

Check voltage at the motor.

Good ground for negative, then check voltage at both wires in both up and down.

FWIW, I had a Caprice (one of those 2012ish Holden POSs) that I stripped, window wouldn't do anything from the master switch, and only went down from the right rear switch. It had a grip of broken/breaking wires in the driver's door jamb.
