I see, been searching out that option with no luck. How bad is it at low speed with OEM gearing and no assist?

It's fine....once you get under 10mph or so, like parking lot turns and dead stops, it's easier to use 2 hands. Your STi is 500-600 lbs heavier than my Impreza so that will make it harder.

I might just do it and see if it works out, my car isn't "full weight" so I am not too far off. Thanks for the post, helps me rationalize giving it a try on my car.

I realized that the holes in the rear deck looked liked they were about the right size for 2, 6.5 in speakers.

They sound great, and you can't even tell that they are there.

Also, since nobody ever used it, I removed the middle seatbelt and also took out the brake light since there's one on the spoiler.

I tend to ride with my left knee against the door armrest, right against the edge of the center console. Needless to say, my right knee gets really uncomfortable, so today I picked up some wood, foam, leather scraps and adhesive and came up with this, you have no idea how much more comfortable this makes my ride, long overdue.

i might have to do that, door cards are so damn hard. i had to wear knee pads when i was racing my evo at a kart track. that's a really good idea.

Welding on a 2" hitch might not be necessary - I just ordered the 2" ecohitch for my 2015, it's all bolt up with no welding or cutting required, and 100% hidden when not in use.

Painted the WRX badge red. I know, not that unique, but it looks cool I think. Also some more carbon vinyl I did underneath.

Made carbon vinyl overlays for the plastic part of my mirrors.

Instead of paying $20 for the chrome delete I made my own with some electrical tape.

Little carbon vinyl bumper vent insert overlays I made.

I paid $7 for the 5'x1' carbon vinyl and I think like a dollar or two for the paint pen I did the badge with.

Since we all like aesthetics I figured I'd post my recent things I've been working on.

I traded trunks, and since my car didn't come with a 3rd brake light (it was in the STi wing) I figured I'd get a OEM 3rd brake light in the rear window. Well, I loved how the LED brake light looked and I really didn't want to use a bulb for my 3rd, so I ordered a small LED strip, about enough to fit in the housing of the OEM 3rd brake light, and this is what I've got so far.

I've never really found a type of mirror I've liked, with the exception of Vision/Spoon Honda mirrors, but I think that's a little far fetched on a Subaru (I would probably do it if there were already block offs readily available or knock off of the GT style mirrors to just unbolt the mirror) so I made a block off for the passenger side. I'll make one for the drivers side eventually but it's what I've got for now..

I just laid paint on it and it doesn't look too bad. I've got to wet sand out some imperfections but other than that it came out pretty good.

I know they aren't finished products but they're almost complete the way that they sit I just need to get around to buttoning them up. Hope you guys like em..

Little later but I bought the inserts from a company called diode dynamics. You just drill holes for the wires in the holder to go through they attach with tape. I added a loc to my radio so I just extended the ignition wire plus illumination to the center console and wired it all up.

So is this so you have no side mirrors or am I missing something? Pretty sure most places in the US frown on that.

Most states only require a mirror on the drivers side.

And he states that he is planning on doing to both sides, so my question still remains.

If you read it sounds like he's removing the mirrors, so no mirrors means he isn't legal. Duh.

Of course he is removing the mirrors, just don't drive it while they are removed and being worked on. Never heard of a car getting written up for not having a side mirror while sitting in the driveway. DUH

Are you seriously this clueless or are you brain-dead? Dude's pictures are showing him shaving his mirrors, AKA, no mirrors afterwards, AKA illegal.

Lol it's also illegal to only have 2 brake lights, but that's what everyone's concerned about too right?
