Default wierd noise when letting off acceleration, sounds like tranny is grinding or somethin

is this normal? say i accelerate, then let go of gas, i can hear the transmission. it sounds like metal grinding against each other or something?

That would be decelleration noise that is common with our tranny's. You can alleviate it by inflating your front tires more than your rear. I usually fill the front at 39psi and run the rears at 35psi. That will help the noise issue.

39/35 Isn't that a bit too much? I thought the recommended is 32/30 for the WRX.

The factory recommendation is 32/29 IIRC. . you can check on your driver's side door sill. I find this to be too low and prefer to run a higher PSI in my tires. This is after much trial and error. Keep in mind that I'm not on a stock suspension.
