Default Replacing alarm horn with supertones

I have been looking around on multiple forums and google but have not had any success finding an answer.

I want to replace the siren on my car alarm (DEI / Python PF5000) with the set of Hella Supertones I have installed. Does anyone done this / know how to do this? If so please explain how to go about doing this. I am wondering if it is as sinple as rewiring the wires from the alarm siren \ horn and wiring them up to the hellas (power & ground)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

hook the horn output on the alarm up to the car, call it a day, then you get both..

Should be able to set the horns onto a "full attack" mode, so just the alarm siren chirps and not the Hellas..

Great. so disconnect siren power (red) and connect to hella power (red) and I guess that ground (black) can stay as is. I was hoping it was that simple but I didn't want to F up my alarm. Hopefully I will get this done on Thurs.

Thanks

Do it its well worth it. You'll hear your alarm from 5 blocks away and gives you a piece of mind

Yeah, car alarms are too common these days. barely anyone looks if you hear one going off. I want everyone looking at my car if it goes off.

Only thing is I have heard that you might need a relay but I figure if I tap into the Hella relay, that should take care of it.

I gave NO instructions on how to do anything, you came up with that on YOUR own...

You eff up your alarm and it's on you...

No need for a relay unless you want to do anything special. I put a 5 wire relay on my siren to a button thats used as the valet switch on the old DEI alarms so that I can make my siren chirp from the inside of my car. Why you ask? so I can piss off my neighbors ankle biter when I get home every day.

Nice... sometimes its nice scare the piss out of someone (or something) now and again. Haven't looked at the siren to make sure there are only 2 wires but I believe there are only two. I know there is a red (+) and a black (-) but now sure if there are additional wires. Regardless, sounds like it should make it pretty easy to rewire.

I'm not sure if that setup would get my point across. seems a little.... understated.

My exact thought on this haha. Although my first idea was a train horn instead of Hella Supertones.

depending on the alarm model, you can run both horns and siren and yes you do need a relay for the horn.
