Car is having some problems.

Since the car has increased back pressure I find the turbo spools quicker. I was actually driving through my neighborhood and the turbo spoiled at like 12mph and I hit a house. I literally don't even know how it happened, the car just took off from the added throttle response.

pretty sure my interior is 100% one off.

custom relocated push start/heated seats.
Australian black rim/buttons.
Red stitched/alcantara cluster hood-ebrake boot-center vent
JDM toyota armrest
Genuine alcantara wrapped center console with custom din-pocket molded in
Genuine alcantara vent rings
Perforated alcantara door cards
GT2-RS pull strap door conversion.
JDM STi push start button with chrome trim painted gloss black.
Leather door speakergrills/knee pads

all of the alcantara work was don't by jason at Overland Designs (overland04 on nasioc), the fabbing/relocating/pullstraps were all done by me.

this is what i finished up today:

interior:

Button:

Before/After

i'm leaning towards some sort of shade of black, but honestly i don't know for sure, but the copper has to go.

carbon is life

I stripped the wing down to the fiberglass. Took two hours and caused a dust storm in the midwest.

I wrapped it in one layer of the fabric and pushed all the excess resin out. it still wasn't flat, so after some aggressive sanding, it was flat and strong but ugly. butt ugly.

so I did another layer. Paying a lot more attention to detail this time with two other people instead of only one other.

I slathered it in two more coats of epoxy. Then came the wet sanding. My arms are now twice the size.

Next was the prime base and clear coat of the underside trailing section of the airfoil. After a great internal struggle, I needed it to look rally, but show off the carbon. because racecar. So i painted what you see from the rear blue, and what you see from the rest of space i left carbon. Then it came for the clear. I used the 2k clear in a can, the type you mix the hardener in the bottom and shake it up. Worth the extra money.

I let it dry and mounted it back on the car.

Not too shabby right? Now comes a nice wet sand to cut the clear down, a polish a wax and a pat on the back.

Don't understand why folks pay50$+ for random branded front plate deletes. Mocked this up and worked with a friend who works at a trophy store

This is true, I did have the resources to do this in less than 5 mins, but Id rather leave it stock because could never justify 55$ for a piece of metal that says Cobb or grimmspeed or wrx. I believe there are many ways to get around the expense without a trophy shop friend lol.

Love the Porsche door straps. I have a set of these I bought for a VW project that I sold. I probably won't put them into my WRX, but I love how you used them here.

Do you still have a spring return? Did you completely remove the original pull handle and it's spring?

So two weeks ago i got my 07 wrx tuned on E85 with all supporting mods and thought this new little custom/unique mod would be fun.

Started off with my stock fuel cap

popped the ring off around the white threaded part and the part that attaches to the door

then went on ebay and found the cheapest random E85 fuel cap and thought to myself they should all be the same. sure enough did the exact same steps as i did with the stock cap and it worked perfect.

the cap was for a ford van off ebay. you can say what you want on it not being unique/custom but i think it is and cool. also sorry for the crappy pics from my phone

I could see that making one out of acrylic and then sticking a vinyl would have the same effect. As long as it's nicely prepped and painted, there wouldn't be much of a difference!
