Default so i emailed MFRT about tein springs....

ME:

can you quote me a price for Tein S springs for 98-01 impreza? just parts thanks

THEM:

Hey

They dont have springs for your car released yet, you will have to go with a complete suspension.

Let me know.

ME:

what are you talking about, they have springs designed for our cars long time ago.

http://www.kastleskorner.com/store/...roducts_id=1232

I thought you guys are dealer of Tein

THEM:

The ones you are looking for are for the Jspec Subaru 2.5WRX GC.

They dont have any released for the NA models. If you dont believe me, check out www.tein.com. I can order this one for you, but its for the WRX, and the spring rates for your car are quite different as your car is much lighter.

Im the Western Canadian Distributor for Tein so im pretty sure of what im talking about.

screw it I'm going for prodrive

WHo helped you? Mike?

Well, to be honest, with SUbarus, I'd only order parts from SUBARU specialists.

1) You gain rapport. E.g. you go to ROcket Rally and talk to Jamie and just kick it with him, you buy the springs from him etc, you talk, you visit, and I'm sure one day JAmie might knock on your PM and give you a killer deal on some used parts.

2) They know what works. For example, a shop that distributes Tein will only want to sell Tein because their profit of margin is higher. However, you go to a specialty SUbaru shop and they can say, yes, H&R's are known to sag on the Subaru Impreza and give it a 0.2" greater drop once it settles, and the Teins have known to rust etc, or so and so. THey have first hand experience and know what works with what.

3) Support the SUbaru market. By supporting a random shop that does Honda/Acura etc, you are supporting the import market...good for you But we also want to ensure Subaru shops stay around and rock on, so things like an AWD dyno can be provided to your city.

My advice. PM tora. He'll hook that shizzle up.
