Default Sport Impreza - Back end is saggy...

Love my sport limited, but does anyone feel like the backend of the vehicle looks "sagged"?

Ie, when I look at the clearance above my rear wheels in comparison to the front, there is a noticable difference that makes the car look like its jacked up in the front...not the best look IMO.

Has anyone done anything to adress this? Pics to share? Would this change the handling of the car significantly to raise the back and lower the front end just a tad to make it look more balanced?

Yes i put coil spacers in the back. no pics, but it improved it. Not a long term solution because they are made out of rubber

The front wheel arch is larger than the rear one to accommodate the wheel when you turn. This kind of makes the rear look saggy

Checked a few hatchbacks and they all seem to be setup that way in terms of height relative to rear

And here I thought it was due to the added weight of my new 19mm sway bar.

* Bumb

Has anyone raised the back end with a long-ish term solution that has picks and instructions/guidance?

Holy bumping old thread batman!

Use these: http://www.paranoidfabrications.com/...za-08-11-hdpe/

They install on top of the strut (essentially a lift kit). Install is straight forward, remove strut, reinstall.

This.

The car is level. The "sag" is all in the design of the fenders.

Welcome to owning a Subaru. Just call the butt hella flush around the ricers and you'll be good. You just haven't gotten around to dropping the front yet

Should we just start telling people to cut their front springs?

I was looking at this last night and the car itself is level, the fenders are cut at different heights. I found about 1-1/4" gap in the back and a 2-1/4" gap in the front. It's almost an optical illusion. I suppose if you did raise the back end a bit it wouldn't look too bad with a little front rake.

I'm all for raising the car. It's just funny to see people so worried about their rear suspension, like something's wrong with it.

I've seen a couple people on here say that they took their car to the dealership because of it...

Of course I'm sure nothing was changed.

Still has slightly noticeable negative rake. But looking at your side skirts, it's very apparent that the rear of the car is actually higher than the front.

i had stuff in the hatch too. can't remember what it was all posted several years back now. i even had measurements and the wheel gaps are w/in 1/4" IIRC. not going to try searching for all that info as it is burried in the gigantic thread.

Gotcha. No biggie. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with your setup.

I have a 1/4" spacer in the rear at the moment. It's hardly noticeable but it's mostly just peace of mind for me. A little extra clearance can go a long way.

This is how you scuff your bumper.

3/4" min IMHO. 1" would have been nice, but trying to find 1" material was $$$$$, 2 pieces of 3/8" stacked together was like 15.00
