Default what can an acessport do for you???

i have a 2002 wrx with a few mods. stock intake with k&n, A perrin inlet, megan header & uppipe, hks down pipe and turboback. i was thinking about picking up an acessport very soon but i was wondering what i can expect, as far as gains i might see in hp, and in other areas. any idea what a car with these mods and stage 2 might have in awhp??

I don't know exactly how much you'll gain in hp terms, but the car will be a lot smoother, pull harder and overall run better. You also might pick up a few mpg, off boost of course but the Cobb maps are known to be fairly rich.

Have you looked into opensource tuning? I went that route on my car and I like how I can fine tune little things and it feels good knowing you made the car run better. Also look into XPT which are very good opensource maps for cheap. I'm running one right now and it is very nice.

Yeah you probably are. Unless you ditch the stock MAF setup you can't tune for a BOV but you can make it work a little better. Also w/ going opensource make sure you have a WB02, EGT and boost gauge at minimum.

To answer the original question, you will notice small power and boost gains (.1 bar or so) from the AP.

I had the uppipe and DP installed one at a time beforehand and noticed significant performance increases from each. The AP just gave a little bump.

What a stage 2 map? Sounds a little high. IMO

But with the mods on your car you do engine management to make it all happen without fault.

I've not heard of a tuner who could tune for a BOV.

AT this LINK you can pull up the OTS maps and look at the map notes and pretty much figure out if you have the right set up that would be compatable...and they show hp numbers and such.

I just got a DP installed, flashed to stage2, definatly noticed that the car is smoother. It very much so enjoys the set up. Not crazy fast or anything, but definatly enough to notice a little more get up n go. W/protune, I know you can get flat foot shifting and launch control. Also its nice for monitoring and clearing codes. Idk if you not going to go full on race, I'd suggest it.

I would say that estimate is a bit high.

It's hard to say what you'll be at, given your mods.

60 AWHP isn't a big stretch compared to stock, but it seems it is to me, since you allready have power mods.

with stage 2 and protune i got 30 more hp and 70 more torque
i doubt you will get 60 whp from cobbs rinky dink OTS maps. Get an AP get a protune and you will be happy you did i own an 07 so not sure but i think you need some sort of tune to not run lean with a downpipe. But look around.
