That is a good choice. The Hella 500 is a good light for the money. you will be glad that you used a fog in this position.

The FF's are a nicer light than the old version. but I agree, not as good looking in the fog pattern.

Thanks for the help sir. Now can I wire them to my corner light wires? Bcuz I no longer have the corner lights and the wires are just chilling there. Or do they draw too much power to tap into those wires? Thanks again.

The FF500 Fog lamps look just fine, nothing like the 500 non-FF fog version with the funky vertical striations. I have them on my car and like them. I also have clear covers to protect them. Smoked covers would pointless as you're then limiting the output of the lights.

use the original fog wiring as they are the same 55W draw. The corner light circut would be far inadequate for these.

It is a much better option than running driving lights in a fog position switched with the low beams. and still getting the "look" of the blacked out lenses.

I didn't say anything about running driving lights in the fog location.

I heard a rumor that the rally innovations light bar for 02-03 is now the same size as the 04 and newer? Is this true?

i don't feel like making a thread or posting in other sections so i'm gonna post here

i sold my retrofits, lightbar and all my aux lights due to certain circumstances

but recently, i test fitted some prototype headlights and finished this morning.. these are h1 halogen projectors<and i'm keeping 'em that way unless i decide on a retrofit>, but i must mention that i've never had experience with halogen projectors before.. here are the results

lowbeam

highbeam

very much a far cry from my fx35 retrofits

opinions
- unlit, they look pretty cool.. the design is not even close to being similar to the alternative ebay predecessors.. the lens on the outside of the highbeams protrude, so it's not a flush curved lens like the oems
- lit, i'm not really a fan of the halos and leds but i guess they can serve a purpose as drls
- the output themselves are not exactly spectacular.. apparent in the pics for the lows is that the lights are blotchy and inconsistent.. kinda like there were some blackholes in the lights and the beam is kinda narrow
- the highs shoot kinda too high.. as in not all of the light touches the road but they'd definitely light up signs

conclusion
- despite the shortcomings, these are a VERY worthy platform for retrofits.. the dimension of the headlights as a whole fit great.. not twisted, misshapen or any bolt holes misaligned.. only thing i don't know is how big of a projector can fit in the lowbeam.. a quad would certainly be cool though and i think it's feasible given the design.. i haven't driven with these at night yet since i just got 'em today and went to the dentist this morning.. so i feel like crap, perhaps tomorrow

<these headlights are not yet available.. so i won't divulge company name or pricing, but they will be released in the coming months>

yaa the led/halo style isn't my thing but it's not a dealbreaker.. lots of potential for this one, the design alone makes it worth the projected price when it's gonna be released

Correct. Still holds the same size lights.

Pricing ballpark? I'd love a set to retro my FX-R or TSX projectors here.

I don't mind the halos as much as the nonsense singular led's. they do look like good retro candidates though.

alrighty, the pain from being at the dentist has subsided so i felt a bit better to drive my car earlier tonight

i forgot to take a pic of the beam yesterday, so here it is

opinions
- beam pattern is NOT correct.. these must be retrofitted with proper projectors to have a proper pattern
- light output is very useless.. there is not enough light for practical street driving purposes.. i would have taken a pic while on the street but it'd be stupid coz all that can be seen is the light from other sources<street lamps, store lights, other cars etc>

conclusion
- these have to be retrofitted in order to be anything useful, these absolutely have no usable light
- i still stand by previous statement though in that they're still worth it for the design

i'm gonna be taking these off whenever i'm not lazy.. i don't drive much at night anyhow but i'll have 'em retrofitted at some point.. i miss hids anyway

they'll be comparable to other halo/led projector headlights but a bit on the steeper side since they're a new design for the bugeyes

How do you guys mount lights on top of the rally innovations light bar?

(was planning on putting Hella 500FF driving light on it) [got them for $39 on clearance at good old walmart]

i don't really know exactly.. since mine was a prototype for the purpose of confirming dimensions and wiring/operations, the company has to give the manufacture the ok to start production as the next step.. then shipments arrive, get posted as available yada yada yada.. so my guess would be by mid summer or end of summer at the latest

I do. And the holes on the top part of the bar are in the back, which I used to bolt the top of the bar to the plate holes to keep it from bouncing.
