![]() Hi all,
I just flashed Stage I map for 08 STI ecu using Cobb APv2-sub003. The Cruise light and CELs came on immediately with the following codes: P2011-intake manifold runner circuit open P2008-intake manifold runner circuit/open bank1 P2021-intake manifold runner position sensor switch low/bank 2 P2016-intake manifold runner position sensor switch circuit low/bank 1 P2433-secondary air flow/pressure sensor circuit high I had originally thought that the car was bone stock (stock dp and stock cb), but upon further examination I realized that the secondary air pump (SAP) was missing. When I un-married the Access Port and return the ecu to the original map, the CEL was gone and no codes where detectable. I contacted the previous owner who informed me that the engine was rebuilt. I assume that SAP was deleted at the time and the ECU was reprogrammed to accommodate this change. My questions are as follows: - can I run OTS Cobb maps as is, since the SAP is really for emissions and has no effect on engine power/performance? - can I use AccessTuner Race to edit out the above CELs in the OTS maps? or the process of SAP elimination in the basic bolt on Cobb maps is more involved, so that I need help of a professional tuner? - are there any additional things I have to be concern with? Thanks for your advise!

![]() If your car does not have any CELs when you unmarry the AP then it is already tuned for the SAPD.
If you want to run OTS you will have to use ATR to remove the CELS, yes. Definitely sounds like you need to be contacting a professional instead of attempting to tune yourself. |
