I actually took a good amount of time to get ye olde NASIOC account dusted off and updated so I could post here about the OG-est of OGs. The one that got me into Subarus. The guy that changed the course of my life in so many ways.

I do regret to confirm that subapooh has passed. He was my best friend from jr high up until yesterday. His lady called me around 1:00PM my time and said she found him unresponsive at home of an apparent heart failure. I've spent the last 36 hours switching between numb, sobbing, and having a few panic attacks. He still had his '00 RS and has been telling me for years that if he dies, he'll make sure I get it. Man.......I always laughed that off as I'm the one that makes horrible life choices. So other than our memories a piece of him and his time in this community will go on and I will get the old RS tip-top. I was just talking to him the evening before about cars, old video games, and 1990's/2000's movies like we always did.

Saying I'm gutted is an understatement of the highest magnitude.

Is the title of this thread “Hey noobs, come talk **** about **** you don’t know **** about”?

That was a rhetorical question, btw.

My heart hurts for you, Josh. I am sorry you lost your best friend.

I was surprised at just how hard the news hit me after Heist shared it with me. Pooh was just a good guy all around. Hanging out with him will always be part of "my good ole days." I still pull out the Viva Mexico! video from time to time when I just need a smile.

Hadn't logged in here in years, but got a notification and tought, "Wow, I should see if my log in still works". Absolutely hate to come back and see this.

I think often of the many great years here, the friends, ...still today. The relationships, etc...

RIP buddy.

I saw Heist's post from FB. Really sad. I think back on it and I've known Pooh for 20 years. I wasn't near as close to him as many of you are. It's been years since we crossed paths, but he was a good guy who befriended me from the beginning. Sad to hear for sure. We lost one of the OGs...
