Safest wheel cleaner

Hi everyone.

Wondering what’s the safest wheel cleaner out there on the market. Something that won’t stain my wheels or ruin the brakes in anyway. Also something that can get rid of heavy brake dust. Please let me know what you guys use and works. Thanks.

Yes, it cuts through brake dust extremely well and leaves rust inhibitor behind

i'll have to check out brake buster.

ive constantly used the adams wheel cleaner. it smells pretty bad, but it works extremely well. i believe sonax uses the same chemical ingredients as the adams and will work just as well.

Chemical Guys products are superior to anything I have ever used. Plus they have great YouTube videos to show how to use and the effectiveness of their products.

Chemical guys have too many products/overlap and many things don't really serve a purpose or don't work nearly as well as advertised. Don't get me wrong I use some of their stuff still but the wheel cleaner sucks, if your cheap meguiars ultimate wheel cleaner works well and hasn't damage anything I've ever used it on. P&S is good stuff too for more money.

you can get a gallon of brake buster for $20 or less, its not more expensive.

Adams or Pinnacle Wheel cleaner. Pinnacle offers a concentrate to initially clean the rims then use diluted as a follow-up cleaner.

Definitely DO NOT use Simple Green. Years ago it rather quickly destroyed the clear coat on a set of Prodrive wheels. I take complete blame
EDIT: Should say for the last few years I've been using the same soap I use for the rest of the car. Works fine even with super dusty Hawk pads.

I use chemical guys oxy wheel cleaner. It works good and smells like bubblegum....

And it's safe for all wheels...

I also agree that the chemical guys entire product line is fairly solid. Although they might try to up-sell you on stuff you don’t really need, I think their products do a good job at what they say they’re gonna do. I’ve always been happy with the outcome ive had when using them.

beadmaker is ok for shiny, but its a let down in any other category.

Surprised no one said Griot's, I use the heavy duty cleaner and works great. I am scared to try it on matte black OEM BMW wheels, but that fear is for anything other than car wash soap.

both our cars have 2 coats of CarPro UK 3.0 ceramic coating, I'm thinking of using Bead Maker as a sacrificial layer of protection on top of the coating.

give it a try and see if you like it. ive used a bunch of it, and decided its not for me. in my experience beadmaker has a bit more of an affinity for dust than most other products, and those nice beads it makes are good for making water spots. i have gtechniq CSL and EXO on my car, and for a topper i like meguiars ceramic detailer. everyone should definately try a few products to see what works best for them, but for me beadmaker really looks good and shiny, but the negatives far outweigh the positives.
