Sorry guys but we have to close entries at 25 cars.
I'll be sure to send you a singing telegram before 010, although it's going to be just for the Forester fanatics |

Watson 29 gets my vote, it's nice and clean and shows some dedication to keeping everything in good order. Watson man, you remind me of me! I love your car and hope that you keep up the good work. Good luck in the future and good luck with your car!

Well.... well.....
Some more pics then... Chillin in NJ with DRT, the day after the purchase... the BA leggy next to me is my NJ liaison, aaronnn's car... That sucker was NICE... On my way home from NJ to MI, I stopped over in Fishkill NY at my friend Lee's house (wheels here), you can see his new Tribeca in the background.. I was also sporting 08' leggy GT wheels thanks to aaronnn, as the stock 16's had some of the worst tires EVER on them, and I was hydroplaning all over the place, which, as you all know, is completely unacceptable in a Subaru... Gettin ready for the "Extreme Rides" show in Newark NJ as Aarons place, private parking garage FTW.. This is how we do things round these parts... lol... Ahhhh, the arse that stops traffic... Less than great glamor shot.. More of how we do it in the winter... Resting quietly for a long winters nap... Last edited by Aaron'z 2.5RS; 07-14-2008 at 03:59 PM. |

Please do !
The forum limits images to ten per post hence the 10 pic limit for your entry thread. Nothing to stop you from posting up more as long you're still in the running. In fact the rules encourage you. Quote:

Knowing that I won't be finished with the interior for another month or better, I guess, I should try and explaine WHY... (you will all see, my expertise lies in the interior)
The install, and yeah I know you guys are all about the lightweight rides, well, I'm a OG car audio installer, got my certs back in 94' and have been doing it in one shape or another ever since (started in car audio with my 92' GTi 8v) Well, I want the best possible sound out of my "race" styled car to boot... So, on with the pics.. Install of the Cascade Vmax, Floors Inside the doors, Bottom, Top RAAMating the trunk area (I used 2 different sound deadener's, before I picked up a sponsorship from Second Skin Audio...woot) Moving to the doors, I started with Second Skin Damplifier Pro, 3-4 layers near the speakers, tapering out to 2 layers near the handle... Getting started, As sealed as I can get it... Starting on the SS Overkill, which is a closed cell foam to help quell reflections and absorb some higher frequencies.. Trunk Monkey bein forman.. Complete door... Last edited by Aaron'z 2.5RS; 07-14-2008 at 05:17 PM. |

Then, I just went crazy with the rest of the car...
Even the roof got well worked over... Completed roof, and YES, it made a HUGE difference.. I never know what others "know" about car audio, but I'm going to be running my sub system "Infinite Baffle" which means no box, but it's not easy to do it right, the trunk must be sealed from the cabin for it to "properly" work... In lew of that, there were places that I needed deadening, that I couldn't really get to.... The solution, Great Stuff... Ahhh, the less than wonderfully trunk vents... Inside of the rear side panels, needed to be filled to seal the trunk as well.. Rockers, check.... Last edited by Aaron'z 2.5RS; 07-14-2008 at 04:00 PM. |

OK, I'll stop boring you all with build pics, and get to the goods... The gear...
The pride and joy to the system, the Alpine c701/h701 combo, it does Pre-amp, Crossover, EQ and Time alignment functions.. I'll be running OPTICAL out from a modified xBox, rocking a 500g HDD external drive(yes the old one) to the h701, no head unit in this car... From there, I'll be running out to another beautiful part, the Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 Limited (2072 of 2500) This will power my mids and my subs with 111x4(will be bridged to 2ch) and 698x1 (more on them later) And also out to a Linear Power DPS200 (40x2), here the lil'wonder sits on top of some old school SoundStream goodness.. Speakers, do you want some speakers now?? (you guys can see where my "expertise" lies, right?) How about some of the highest regarded SOUND QUALITY subs out there? The Image Dynamics IDQ15 (yes, a 15" SQ sub..!!) Not much to look at, but I can't WAIT to finish to hear them... Mids, yes... Pioneer PRS720's please... (shown with a Kartboy spacer and some Kicker Hyperflex 1/0) Tweeters, those are going to be something special, HLCD's or Horn Loaded Compression Drivers, which need to be mounted under the edge of the dash, firing toward the passengers.. I'll need to get the video out somewhere... sooooo Much more to come in the next 2 months, none of which will be in time for the 009 scoob contest... Sorry to clutter up the thread with all of my "weight".... lol... Aaron... Last edited by Aaron'z 2.5RS; 07-14-2008 at 04:01 PM. |
