its fine. i see 22 psi on my vf52 with the yellow.

Thanks for the responses guys! My BPV seems to be venting correctly now. I guess that the car just had to get used to it lol. Again, xluben, thank you for inadvertently helping me out (again)!

The yellow spring with no shims will in theory hold more boost than you could possibly be making... Xluben has stated this several times in this thread....

Huh? The spring is for how much vacuum you have, not boost...

Is the goal to get to the amount of spring and shims needed until you get compressor surge then back down a shim?

Just installed mine, tuned for 18lbs which with the stock bpv reached that point fine but now with the forge bpv and yellow spring it takes longer i hit boost and taps out at 14-15lbs?

Old Thread but do any US vendors stock the rebuild kits? My top o-ring tore so i need to get the kit. Buying direct costs more for shipping and it's not a set price and probably no arrival date.

go to some auto stores. match one up. i needed one for the bottom of mine that mounts to the tmic. i found one at my job from a caterpillar o-ring set.

I had zero luck with any of the auto part stores local. i ended up ordering it direct from Forge.

All it would take is for someone to post the exact oring dimensions.
Then you could go online and get some proper orings that are meant for oily environments. The stuff from autoparts stores might degrade overtime due to blow-by. |
