Even though I'm not ready for Summer to end yet, with the cooler weather the past week I've heard people start talking about Autumn. The pumpkin and Octoberfest beers are starting to show up in stores now too. This past weekend I was back home (Indiana County) for some family functions and got to drive the WRX on some of my old back roads and it was a BLAST. It got me to thinking that I need to head even farther north up into the mountains this Fall and take in some of the beautiful scenery and amazing roads, like I used to do on my motorcycle. Then I started thinking that it might be more fun to go with some folks who would appreciate that kind of thing. I've gone back and forth about how "official" to make it (i.e. how much work I want to put into it) and I've decided to keep it pretty simple. If I end up going by myself - oh well. I'll still enjoy it. If I can get 3 or 4 other people to go - GREAT! If a dozen people want to go (which I doubt, but ya never know) - I'll have to do a some planning. In my mind, I don't really want this to be like a classic car cruise but it doesn't need to be Gumball Rally either. I plan on doing some "spirited" driving. Take that as you will.

So here it is, an open invitation to anyone who wants to take a weekend day in early October to do this. I'm looking at Saturday, October 5th as there is a NHSCC autox on the 6th. I have a route and some stops sorta in mind. I'll try to put something together on that to post up here and gauge interest. I also welcome ideas and suggestions, as long as it's not like "Hey! We should go to the mountains of North Carolina!"

Anyone wanna go?

Those never end well (usually with someone in a ditch). Anything more than 2 or 3 becomes a dick swinging contest.

I'll be there in my WRX, and I'm bringing my buddy. He just has a 2.5 Legacy but he's a big Scooby fan.

What kind of contests have you participated in? Max dick rotational frequency/RPM, or max dick momentum?

Low mass that's closer to the axis produces a lower moment of inertia. He probably has an unfair advantage.
