Skeleton keys prevent the holder from facing any legal repurcussions. So when the cops show up, insert key into anus and turn.

Meh, if you had a skeleton key for a Catapillar D8 or something I'd be impressed. Then you could cause some mayhem.

It's true. I have a friend with a MASTER lock skeleton key. Hey can pretty much go into anywhere without fear of repurcussion.

It's sweet.

I would think that, because you have a key to the thing, you'd be much better off than say hotwiring the thing .

Master keys are so easy to come by, most of the logging sites when I grew up just left the key in the ignition. But they padlocked the hood, and disconnected the battery when they left.

My friend and I spent an hour trying to start a skidder one night before we finally gave up.
