Default Question about Audio plugs?

Just got a 2009 Impreza premium wagon, in the center console there is the part for 12V and AUX but ther is also a cable that looks like and older iPod plug. Is this what it is and if so does it also charge?

There was a factory accessory option for an iPod Interface kit, sounds like your vehicle has that already.
