Default Has anyone run a Mirrortap on their 2018 WRX yet?

I'm looking to run a Blendmount for my Valentine1 when the car arrives, and I was curious if anything significant changed from the 2017 process. Thanks!

Finally got mine wired up.

If anyone's wondering, the red tap still goes to the white on the harness. And the black goes to the black.

i had no idea this could be done, can you run both a radar detector and a camera off of the mirrors power at the same time?

I'm curious about this too...can you tap both a radar detector and a dash cam?

No idea unfortunately. I suppose you could try to tap the same wire twice (if you're using Mirrortaps). You'd have to use the smaller taps because those spots are tight.

Was it difficult to run the wire through the headliner into the overhead light assembly? Any words of wisdom and/or pictures will be appreciated. Thank you.

My car is a 2019 STI Limited, the mirror is Auto-Dim with Homelink. The correct mirrortap wire length is 20" and I ended up using the 2nd smallest taps for this setup. I would image this apply to the 2017 and 2018 cars with Auto-Dim/Homelink mirrors as well.

As for the headliner, I followed this YouTube video and getting the wire through was very easy.

I have a 2019 STI with the homelink mirror as well. Can you please tell me what color wires you used? I tried black/black and red/gray then red/white and got nothing. Probably would be smarter if I had a voltmeter
