Just copy them to your hard drive first... there HAS to be an option for that. Then burn them to a CD from your HD.

"That part" meaning I put them on my HD. I can't find an option to save to disk or anything similar. *sigh*

If you are using windows you should be able to drag and drop photos onto your desktop

Do you have a CD burner? You'll need one of those - and a blank CD.

Ding ding ding, we have a winnar!

Burning to CD is a whole 'nother operation from copying photos off your camera. You need a CD burner and the associated software (EZ CD, Nero, whatever). Then it should be easy.

Yea Binky, I'm guessing your computer doesn't have a CD burner since it didn't have a sound card. You can buy one for <50 most of the time though and it hsould come with some software to burn CD's.

most software you can drag and drop the files or make it a "direct CD" so that you can exit the program and then it will burn when you fill the disk or tell it too

Right. You think if I can't figure out how to burn it to CD to begin with that I remember how to format a CD? I've been living in a cave. I'll just ask my roommate to do it since I suck so hard. Normally that's a good thing. Pardon my mood. It's not a very good one.

CD's come pre-formatted. which is why you can burn to a blank one right away. Binky, you on WinXP?

Thanks, Kins. I was beginning to think I was losing my mind. I'm sure I am, but now I know it's for other reasons.

No, not XP. At least, I don't think. I'm on Windows SloAsMoFo.

I'm not home currently, so I can't check for sure.

The only reason i respond is I'm new to the dig camera and cd burn thing.

I know my kodak softwar is not compatable with my hp scanner tiff files and jpeg files. is pita. Nero is good for a cd burner. Have you tried to save you pics to desktop then open nero. Or if you go to my computer in nero you may find "in the MY computer" drop dow selection a new drive labeled say drive E digital camera select it and see what happens.

Should also have create an album in your dig. camera software. in there it should mention CD.

I uploaded the pics from the camera to the HD. I know how to do that.

I have Nero. I opened the program and clicked/dragged/what-have you all the pics into Nero. I seleced Burn to disk or whatever. It copied them all into the window, but said that burning wasn't happening. Or whatever it said. Put me off. Then I had to go to work, so that's been my only attempt.

So, yes.. I did all that. It just didn't work.

*edit: And yes, there was a CD in the drive.

I hate the verbage in my kodak software. It took me awhile to figute it out. Using nero to fink pics is harder than telling cannon to burn. I would think cannon has burn cd hidden in create an album or some other drop down nenu. Do you have cannon running on your task bar (next to time) try right click on it. 1/2 the object of a dig camera is to put pics on cd. Call 1-800. swhat i do - cours i have a speaker phone so i can play solitare while on hold.
