Default Junior Tuned 1820 on pump

Had this tune for a while never made it to the track with it. Jr tuned me on my TurboXS FMIC but I have just switched over to a PWR TMIC for more response and this is the result. Tuned for 26psi but turned it down to 23 after the TMIC install.

PE1820
Helix660
UTEC w/ SD
PWR IC
Stock BPV
WBR Headers

If anyone follows the RomRaider thread you know what this road dyno is capable of. 0% correction applied, 27*C, 61% humidity. Its a fun car to drive.

That's a NICE torque curve.

How come you guys went for 26psi on pump? That's what I hit in 5th w/ meth Not criticizing, just wanted your opinion on that since I want to run crazy boost too

Do you remember how much power was gained from 20-26psi?

The car took really well to the 26psi. It just kept making power and when we turned the meth on, it did even better(meth will be added to the TMIC setup but for now its just pump.) I do not have any 26psi runs but Im thinking that I may turn it up just to see what she does.

congrats! I used to have an 1820 a few years ago. Loved that turbo! Quiet as a church-mouse in operation too!

Did you notice a huge hit in performance upstairs when you switched to the TMIC on the 1820? I remember when I went to an APS DR500 FMIC from a TurboXS TMIC, the gain in power at the top end was eye-opening.. Granted, throttle response took a hit..

I only took my 1820 as high as about 19psi though. Ahh the memories..

I cant really compare the two. If I bring it back up to 26lbs then I can compare the two but Ive dropped the psi so there is less power to begin with. Car still pulls nice and the response has made me love the car again.

Ive been slowly taking my car apart to go back to a more daily driven setup. I was getting frustrated with the lack of response from my FMIC and WBR headers. The graph above was without the FMIC and replaced by the PWR. Tonight I sold off the headers and took a graph of the stock manifolds on the same equal length tune(not optimal but wanted a comparison)

Response is great but the fact that this tune is not optimal for stock headers really shows. Car feels great to drive but the power is lacking. Wednesday or Thursday I will have a ported set of stock manifolds done my grimmspeed and one of their crossover pipes. That will be my final setup but I am anxious to see how they perform on this tune.
