I doubt Subaru will offer 1.9% financing for the 2020s upon initial release. They'll keep the 1.9% for the 2019 models to clear them off the lots first.

For the 2019s, I think they started at 3.49% for initial orders and then dropped down to 1.9% around the November/December time frame.

The financing rate will likely depend on the demand and their sales. I don't imagine the 2020s will be flying off the lot since not much has changed (minus the Brembos on the WRX Performance Package). I have a feeling that people may try to hold out for the MY21 in hopes that its the next generation with a new engine (especially for the STI). In which case they may drop the financing rate sooner to create incentive. You'll probably be able to get a good deal (at or below invoice).

Of course, this is all speculation...

Spoke to a salesperson last week, there will not be a 1.9% on new 2020s for now.

My 07 Impreza is slowly dying so a 19 STI sounds real nice right now. That 1.9% financing is hard to beat

I was a bit skeptical at first since Subaru still doesn't have the 2020s listed on their site for build and price. So yeah, I don't know how it works...
Subaru doesn't usually have Build & Price ready for their performance cars until after they're settled in on dealer lots.

Nice screen name, btw. :-)

I placed an order last week for a 2020 w/ performance package. This is my 3rd VA, 2016 Base WRX, 2018 Premium with Performance Package and now this.

My last 2 were CWP so I decided to try out the new magnetite grey this time around, hopefully I donít regret the color decision.

Congrats! And I thought I changed cars a lot

What made you decide to upgrade to the 2020 performance package? The Brembos & Apple CarPlay/Android Auto? Regardless, I think the 2020 performance package is a great option. I may have been tempted to get that over the STI now that it comes with Brembos.

My wife would kill me if I upgraded "to the same car" so many times. She already couldn't understand why I went from a '16 WRX to a '19 STI.

Wondering how it's gonna compare to my '15 DGM; the color is really nice in the right light, but I think if I go and get a new ride it's gonna be either CWP or LBP. Probably the blue, but who knows

Well, my 2018 got rear ended really badly just after owning it for only about 6 months and it was never the same after (weird rattles, creeks etc) and the body shop didn't do a great job on the paint so I decided to just get rid of it. So I actually haven't had a WRX for about a 14 months right now. So I'm not really "upgrading" just getting one again. I was going to wait for the new body style but the brembos with the performance package was just too tempting.

You can actually see the new color on the 2018+ Outback/Legacy and the Ascent now, altho it's hard to really visualize what it would look like on a WRX.

CWP is my favorite but after having it twice on the body style I figured I would try something new.

Yeah, I actually like them too. Someone put them on a Legacy XT or Outback XT and post em up.

I struggled and decided on the WRX with performance instead of the STI. Iím coming from a 16 premium WRX and have driven several STIs to help decide. I just love the wrx but really wanted the brakes and the seats on the STI. Now I can have both and keep my 30+ mpg!

Did you opt for the oem short shifter?

Any plans for it? Adding some minor mods like a shift stop, shifter bushing, group n trans mount, steering damp(en)er lockdown, and flex fuel tune should make for a great car.

The 2020 Performance package would have been a tempting option for me if I hadn't just purchased my '19 STI. My wife was already complaining that I was trading my '16 WRX in for "the same car".
NO plans for Mods. Just going to track it stock, which means probably new tires once a year. I really like my warranty...for now.

I drove a 19 a few days ago and I really dont like the soft clutch. But I will live with it to have the Brembos!

Sounds like a great plan. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I know you said no mods, but I highly recommend the shift stop, shifter bushing & group n trans mount. They're warranty safe, easily removable, and completely change the driving/shifting experience by removing the excess "slop".

Just start saving up for an STI drivetrain swap and flex fuel tune for when the warranty is up The LSD will make a significant difference if you plan to do a lot of tracking.

Cheaper to just buy the STI and retain the factory build and resale value.

Agreed, but some people don't care for the EJ

Better to save for the FA powered STI as long as Subaru doesn't screw it up.
