ej25 swap into an 02 WRX
so i have some questions about this. i have the block right now. im in the process of building it. i need to know what i am going to need to make this an easier project. such as will the wiring harness match up at all and if not how hard of a job will that be to do? can i reprogram the 02 ecu for a ej20 to work for a ej25. when i do drop this in should i just go ahead and upgrade axles or what do they hold up to. i am shooting for about 350 to 400 crank HP. should i just stick with stock cams off of an sti or should i upgrade them as well. any information that you guys cna give me will be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot.

Check out the built motor discussion, there are lots of guys swapping in 2.5 blocks in their wrx's. Are you keeping your 2.0 heads?

thats another thing that im not sure of. whats better to go with the 2 or the 2.5 heads?

you need to do some more research before you go diving in....
lots of people do this swap so there is plenty of info out there.... are you using just the block? what heads are you using? what kind of em are you gonna run? what transmission are you going to run? research research research! here.... start with this http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1431376 |
