Default STi 6-spd STS on a 5-spd WRX

I have a STi 6-speed Short Throw Shifter laying around in my garage, it was off my friends STi, and i was wondering i know the Reverse lock wont work, but will it still fit on my 2005 WRX and work?

Try it. The fulcrum can't be off by much if at all.

The only part that is different is the lever arm (slightly different length) and the width of the U joint that attaches to the trans arm. After reviewing some notes though it looks like it will not work for those reasons.

We are a real company. To answer your questions here's some info.

Address:
Turn In Concepts LLC
7964 Thistlewood Dr.
West Chester, OH 45069

Phone number:
513-235-5150

We have full business licenses, vendor licenses, and tax ids so if you would like you are free to check with the state and/or the feds to confirm these things. Thank you for pointing out that missing information. I will be adding it to the site right now, and if you have any further questions you are free to email me at [email protected], call me at the number above, or snail mail me. I will more than happily answer them.

And as Tom points out we buy lots of his parts (which reminds me - Tom, I should be ordering some more stuff in about a week or so)

A while ago. If I remember correctly he's got the factory SS kit, and he picked up some linkage bushings or maybe a klicky kit. I'd have to check.

Slight hi-jack here...I have the factory SS on my STi...I know that there are probably better full kits out there...BUT, other than a Group N tranny mount, are there any fairly simple upgrades I can make to better the system?

Are you looking for better shifting?

If so, there are a few options for you. Turninconcepts.com has three different levels that would work with your current setup and make it easier and more fun to shift. Check out the website.
