Just turned 34 and just got in my 2011. Married and hoping our Dutch Shepherd and Doberman will be able to fit! No mods for a while other than RA mud flaps and a radar detector!

wow, glad there are so many of us. I'm 31 with an 05 WRX with some basic mods: vf39 turbo, up/down pipes, DW injectors, Sti TMIC, Stoptech front, Suby 2 pot rear, MSPT Tuned at 278HP. about to order a 2011 S4.

and here's my daily rider.

Almost 34 with an 02. Exterior mods are blacked out headlights, slightly lowered (STi suspension), debadged, nice functional mudflaps. Stage 2 map and tb also. It's a bit loud when I leave in early mornings but otherwise no complaints.

Husband is 35 with an 06 STi. Basically stock, have a wrx wing that needs painted so he can switch it out when he wants. Also has a Rally America windshield banner, McRae tribute stickers, and Rally Armor mudflaps.

30 years old just got a 2011 WRX Sedan - Already sound deadened the doors and replaced all the speakers and added a polk audio 10inch sub with amp. Sounds much better. Also got tinted 15% on back 30% on front with a 5% windshield strip. And the hella supertones.

Been wondering this myself as I just turned 30 this month. 03 wrx exterior mods- jdm hoodscoop and front grill, EDM headlights, OZ wheels, under the hood though quite a bit.
Bugeye has been paid-off for a few years now, had the itch for something new, but can't justify spending new car money for something I'm going to put 40k miles on a year for work. I'll just keep rockin my bugeye.

It's been everything I need out of a work car: decent fuel economy, room for luggage/dog, awd for bad weather, and super reliable. And everything I want: fun to drive

The older I get (ready to turn 29 soon), the more I realize the old adage "age is a state of mind" is spot on. Plenty of people I know (co-workers, friends, etc.) think I'm crazy to drive such a 'rice wagon'. Who cares if your friends think they need a grown up (er, boring) car to fit in. Do what makes you feel good. Between my STi and my motorcycle, I still feel like I'm 16...with more experience, of course.

Actually if you think about it, being older and having a WRX or WRX STI makes more sense financially, which is why we have more 30+ with them.

If I was in my early 20's, I would not be able to afford the gas and maintenance costs with school/part time jobs. 80 mile a day back and forth? 94 octane? Synthetic oil? Not on a $8/hr job...

Theoretically if you finished school in early 20's and landed a sweet job, you can comfortably save (for other things) and afford a WRX or STI at around 24-25. This is on average of course, I've seen 19 year olds land sweet engineering jobs.

Same goes for the motorcycle! No way I could afford that if I was younger.

I just turned 30 and my STI was the "getting back from Iraq treat".
2006 OBP Sti with basic Stage 2 Cobb intake and maf hose, Invidia DWG catted DP, Invidia N1 Race catback, Cobb AP v2, Rally Armor flaps

turned 30 and got married this year, saved me a ton on car insurance!!!

Im 32, stage 4! More info wwwfinelineimports.net under BLOG "Factory Fresh 07 STi", made my car straight sleeper! Trying to keep the stock look but more power! How many of you like loud exhaust? I got loudest one you can buy, my wife thinks I'm nuts. I just love the Subaru exhaust sound! Figured when i feel old I will just get myself something not so loud. Nice to know there are so many others in there 30's plus that own Subarus.

43 y/o here on my second scoob. First was an 04 wrb sti with fp green, meth and other mods. My current is a 02 bugeye mbp with built 2.5, 35r turbo, ppg tranny plus other goodies. I stepped over from the mustang world a few years back. I have built and tuned some bad ass stangs in my day. Since switching to a scoob I have gotten hooked on them and tuning them. You can find me mostly on the romraider forum because I personally think nasioc sux. Kinda like a bad whore that you can't forget her number LOL.

Cool Too Fast

Like the license plate reads, bought 04 STI in 3/04, am now 56 yo, it doesn't matter with age, it's who's behind the wheel. Am also female, father and mother raced, so it's in the blood and best OTR wheels I ever drove. Now more than 80K mi original everything even clutch, only replaced brakes once. What can we say, it's a great design.....the whale tail is a little funny and gets comments because of my age, basicallly because they don't understand it's value. Good luck, I'm keeping mine also - have some 80's and 90's (BMW's, Jeeps, Trucks) as daily drivers also.

Bought my '11 WRX a month before turning 39! (I'm 39 and a couple weeks now) And I've had my share of grown up cars too.

1997 Infiniti QX4
2003 Subaru Outback VDC (the college professor ride)
2005 Subaru Outback XT 5MT (Cobb stage 1 sleeper wagon)
2008 Prius (I don't want to talk about that car. already blocking memories out)
2011 WRX Premium sedan (no mods yet, probably do Cobb stage 1 soon)

I'm having a blast with the WRX. Grew up in a California hotrod household, my dad always shook the house with his big block Chevys. I kind of like that my wife is annoyed with my rumbling into the garage

I'm in my early 40's and still looking to buy one. Where is the best place to find STI rolling chassis anywhere between 2005-20010, just looking for the chassis and tranny, no motor or anything else.

eBay? I think most of us either part with them whole, or you can still get the front half or back half after we hit something.

I turned 30 and bought a 2011 wrx a couple months later. Haven't had enough time to mod anything.

I'm learning that life just begins at 30. The 20s are a silly exercise in futility, albeit a recklessly fun one.

35 and just bought my first STi, a 2011 sedan in SWP. I have wanted one since the early 2000s, it was between this or a 335i. Not old enough for the Bimmer yet.
