Default where is a good, fair, shop in the Los Angeles area?

Hey I am sick of my shop OHC and just fet up, im not going back there. They are rude and a rip off and the work isnt great. ANyone please tell me from first hand experience where a good, fair, honest, and not ridiculously expensive shop is? I need to get my turbo swap and injectors done, maybe spark plugs too. I want to know just a place that does good engine work that also can do electronics and body work too...

Sincerely frusterated and hopeless,
Brandon

PS: Im down to go on runs with other scooby drivers taht live in the La area so if you're down, email me and we can meet up.

You're gonna hear one of two things: Harman Motive or Steve at Aerosim.

Aerosim. I found Steve to be not only honest, but also enjoyable to be around and hospitable too. (he likes cherry pepsi!)

Another nine votes for Aerosim. The SteveDave'll take care of you at a good price for great quality work. And as Shinji said, teh atmosphere can't be beat.

It's in Costa Mesa off Harbor and Baker (take Harbor exit off the 405, go south, left on Baker, right at the Ferrari dealer, and left onto Logan...it's like the third driveway on the left...just look for all the Scoobies outside).

W3rp!

Whenever Steve feels like it. From what i've heard sometimes 3:00PM-3:00AM.

Oh yeah, Suby Specialties is also excellent. It all depends on which one you live closer to usually. (Aerosim is Costa Mesa, Suby Specialties is Monrovia)

OHC is on some BS...I ordered a CF hood for my prelude 5 years ago and put 200.00 down and I waited a year, they changed ownership, had reciept, and no money back...right now they have 13 year old kids working the desk and think they know everything....

OHC Motoring was the 1st shop I went to with my GSR when I just moved to LA (circa 1997).
They didn't even have tools to install my exhaust and suspension. Thank god I brought my own tool-set.

and Brandon, me and HSRX can do accomidate all that you need, including the body work.

Can we make a STICKY?

Too many people ask, "Where's a good shop in _________?"

LOL. Just a thought.

Called up both Subie Specialties and Aerosim-research, both of the guys were Steve.. wonder if they are the same Steve?

Wanted to bring my car into Harman Motive for a compression check and evaluation of the used 2003 WRX I just bought.. but they told me Subie Specialties was better equipped to solve my problem..

yea wow OHC straight up sucks balls. Its true they have little know it all kids running the place with a big jerk at the top, Chris, who is too good for anyone's bussiness. I asked for the same job at OHC (700-900$) not even a flat estimate, and Harman was $440, and aerosim was $360. Just so you know the job i askjed to get done is install on vf34 upgrade, injectors, and fuel pump. I think aerosim and harman are awesome, and the Aerosim guy was tight to talk to, it wasnt Steve, i think his name was Ryan but he was tight....anyways i hope that helps anyone looking to go to stage 2.5 like me from stage 2.
