Sounds like a bad map sensor.... Mine went bad on my fully built fa20, similar symptoms... Check your IATs.... They are probably reading either 0 or astronomically high

The MAP sensor was pretty gunked up when removed and checked, but still working. If by IATs we are talking about the intake manifold temperature (?), it is reading on the Accessport, and not a ton hotter than the outdoor/intake temp. itself.
The car really needs a walnut blast. Oil and carbon buildup galore.
