Question Any Canadian Pay less than MSRP for WRX

Has anyone in Ontario been able to get a
WRX for less than MSRP Seems like a
rip-off since in New York they are paying
only $400.00 over Dealer Invoice.
We are paying $3000 over

It's hard to beleive, but I went in with my cousin. We both wanted WRXs, TWO orders! TWO commisions, right in front of them. The best they could offer was $250 under MSRP a car! We went to 3 other dealers, and no one would beat that!! INsane!

If you got $250 off MSRP, you are doing well. Until there is an excess of supply, which there isn't right now and probably will not be for a year, you will pay MSRP. The dealer mark-up is only 8% on these cars. No one will see for under MSRP, as all the cars will sell, no problem. The only question is whom will buy them. You will also actually see cars selling for over MSRP by private sellers. Take a look at how much the few 2001 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo's are selling for if you can find one for sale or at a dealer. There is a two year waiting list. The average is $17,000 over list in Canada. In the us they are selling for $150-$170 USD, that is comparable to the list price in Canada! Now remeber that is USD, and add 50% to the price. I would say if you can buy at list in either the US or Canada, that is a bargin. It is all about supply and demand, and they will all sell for the MSRP. Remember that is the price always, and a discount will not exist. All will sell, just a matter of when.
