When my 4G stops working I'm blaming you Shek. Verizon will get a pass.

What happened here? That's not normal for a belt with 100k miles, the owner had to know something was wrong...

I would suspect blame would lie with the timing belt guide on the crank pulley

Your mom prefers over-sized pin-outs.

I had a timing belt do that after 100k miles. For probably 60-70k I had a catch can tucked in front of the airbox. When the engine torqued to the side, it pressed the timing belt cover against the catch can. Eventually the cam-pulley guides bit into the belt.

If you want, I can draw a picture of your moms can pressing on my belt

58k. It looks like someone else was in this engine before and a timing guide on the plastic covers was loose and rubbing the belt. That'll do it!

Speaking of td05 8cm housings, make sure you run quality oil in your turbocharged vehicle, especially in modified or high hp applications or else this might happen..........

This was the result of old/low oil level and general maintenance neglect. We have available a full line of Red Line, Brad Penn, AMSOIL, Joe Gibbs, and Rotella products, along with other brands. Contact us today about a oil maintenance program for your specific Subaru.

Isn't that like, 95% of all EJ failures? +/- .5 qt = spin your bearings.

Porsche makes reliable boxer motors, and guess what, they're all dry sump/semi-wet.

PSA - There's a burgundy red 2009 Impreza 2.5i Sedan at Cockrun of Monroeville. 27,900 miles and advertised for $13,800. It has a clean CarFax. I was looking over it yesterday and checking body panels to see if they were hellaflush. The trunk lid was just a tad more recessed than I thought it should be on one side so I opened it and found the bottom side of the rear parcel shelf was painted after an accident. It wasn't a uniform red color like it should've been and you could clearly tell that someone had sprayed red paint on it but missed a LOT of spots! All the other Impreza trunks I've seen all are a nice uniform color that match the color of the car. Also, the power steering belt squeals and the shifter is difficult to move around. And the kicker... That vehicle is 'Subaru Certified'. And of course the salespeople and their manager didn't seem to know about any of this...

When I bought my LGT wagon it had 106k miles on it and a new Tbelt, tensioner, pulleys, WP, t-stat, radiator, belts, hoses, ....

Next day after getting it home there was a flapping noise under the timing cover for the first 10 minutes driving so I asked my shop to open it up and they found the same grooved timing belt with punctures every inch or more. Said it was likely the cam guides being too tight. Wasn't very happy.

Not many other AWD options out there. Plus, the Subaru expertise and support in Pittsburgh is fantastic if it ever needs anything thanks to Moore Performance.

Anyone have in-wall speakers for their home theaters? I'm trying to figure out what I want but live listening options are few around here. So if you have in walls where did you get them from?

I've listened to speakercraft and various contractor grade options but that is about it.
