"In what could be viewed as good news as well as bad news, Nissan is extremely dependent on the Nissan."
As opposed to Nissan being dependent on the Toyota or teh Honda. heh. love those typos. i drove an altima back in high school and i liked it a lot. probably one of my favorite cars. |

They picked that thing over the gorgeous new Accord? I've never thought too highly of the Altima. |

Perhaps you need to drive one. I drove one of the older ones and it was better than I thought it would be. The newer one has a much upgraded interior which was one disappointing area in the old one. Consumer Reports isn't exactly the bible on car testing so I'll reserve my judgement until I drive one.

I owned a MY97 Altima SE for many years and it was actually a car that I enjoyed very much.
I have driven the 2nd and 3rd gen Altimas as rental and were also very nice. The 4th gen is so much better overall than the previous three gens from what I have read, but, as of yet I have not driven. |

^^ That has a dent in the front fender exactly where mine had one.
I got to drive a new Altima V6 manual and I was really impressed. As quick off the line as a WRX with a much much higher quality interior. About the same price as a base WRX iirc. |
