Default 2000 OBS EJ22 engine mods, other mods?

I have a well maintained 2000 Impreza Outback Sport wagon w/ stock EJ22. Any ideas for intake, injection, oil coolers, suspension, et cetera?

Try lightened components, a seat swap and snow. You'll never make this car fast n/a. Get some aftermarket headers and just enjoy it or read up on forced induction.

I've had a few ej22 and trust me. No amount of weight reduction, lightweight flywheels and aftermarket 3" exhaust will ever make it fast on pavement.

Lowering these is the standard affair, raising them looks better unless it's a solid color car with wheels. Post pictures so we know what you are working with

I actually matched a 2013 3-series BMW sedan for about an 1/8th mile before I backed off to avoid speeding ticket. No exaggeration.

If any Subaru has ever matched any BMW it's because the BMW wasn't racing.

WRX or sti against a base level 3 series, the BMW won't win. But a nearly 20year old NA Subaru against a fairly new BMW. No doubt the BMW driver wasn't racing if they kept up with each other.

I heard his RPM and shifting, he wasn't spot on but he was he trying. No joke. I had to hit almost 5.5k before shifting, he was all stock by the sound. Still, I was surprised as well.

You know you can shift at a high RPM without having the throttle to the floor, right?

Agreed.
While the chassis is sorta light, it's a 2.2NA. It is also an older platform, parts choices were slim when it was new, even slimmer now.
Intake basically makes noise.
Exhaust can get expensive.

I'm not a hater, we have a 99 Impreza L wagon with 240K on it, original owner. Son put on a CAI, axleback, some other bits.
More was done to brakes (03 WRX swap) and suspension.

I have a 98 Legacy GT wagon with 170K on it, original owner.

I think now that it was a 2009 but still, that guy was trying and in a superior car.

I don't either but I'm not a liar, I promise you that much. Maybe his car was in bad shape? He was certainly trying, his engine sounded fine though.
