Thumbs down converting a gt3076 to gt3582

I have never seen/heard of anyone converting a gt30 to a gt35
you would have to change just about every part of the turbo
compressor housing, compressor wheel, exhaust housing, exhaust wheel...ect
This is one of the major advantages to a rotated setup, all you have to do is switch out the turbo, and it will only cost $1200 or so.
Sell your gt30 and get a gt35, don't see any other options

He's talking about the atp stock location gt series turbos and not a rotated setup. Op should call tp and ask them that question. I've heard you can though. Just call them..

couldnt you just swap out the compressor and turbine housing??
i dont think it would be time/cost effective to do this though.
i think you should just sell what you have and get a new one.

No. The wheels on the turbos are not the same size. therefore, they will not cross fit into each others housings. OP needs to either a: sell old, buy new or b: buy 35r chra and machine housings to fit. Even then, who's to say that it will work as i'm sure atp did something extra to get teh 35r to work properly in stock location since they weren't released at teh same time as the 3071/76's were.

ooops. i meant compressor wheel or whatever. i have the bolt on gt65 from element tuning, it has a 35r compressor and a 30r compressor housing, with the bolt on .82ar. thats what i was thinking about.

im so lost. im gonna stop talking.
