Default 04 STI OEM Trunk & Wing Swap: Loose trunk

I need some help. So i received the OEM trunk and wing for my 04 STI when i purchased it from the seller. Originally the car had a wingless trunk and they provide the original trunk with the wing. I removed the wingless trunk, swapped all the parts from it over to the other trunk, changed out the torsion springs for the winged trunk. And installed the trunk with the wing onto the car. Everything fit perfectly and the trunk latches correctly. However, i noticed when i was driving it today, every bump i hit, i could hear a clunk in the back. Found out that the teunk was latched, but there’s a gap. When i push down on the trunk is seems like its loose and bounces upwards. Again, it is latched but it almost seems like the when the trunk latch is in the catch, there a gap in it.

Make sure the hooked area that the torsion bar pivots on haven't failed. These are at the far ends of the trunk on both sides. One of mine failed years ago. It causes the torsion bar to sag and its not placing tension on the trunk. It won't close correctly although it may close.

You can check the torsion bars, but you really need to adjust the latch. I don't remember for sure, but I think it's an adjustment on the latch itself. Look at the latch mounting as well as the hook mounting. One of them will have either slots under the mounting bolts, or big holes and the bolt has a big washer. Loosen the mount bolts and slide that part, tighten, check fit.
