Default diesel swap

The 2.0 boxer diesel has been out in Europe for a bit now.
I tried searching around, but I was just wondering if anyone has swapped on into a RS or anything for that matter.

its not impossible but would be cheaper/faster to buy the diesel legacy

the electronics behind it are going to be incredibly complex

Yea, Just thought it might make a beastley rally-X with all that torque.
And it would probably be easier to get a longblock shipped over than a whole legacy.

How do you think the electronics are going to be more complex than a STi swap? (i'm not trying to sound like a jerk, just trying to learn)

Diesel gear head buddy who sells diesel products and has some very cool diesel cars in the US - has told me there are lots of black market diesel cars in the US none are street legal. Doing a diesel swap before the new Subaru diesel is available in the US would put you in the same spot - but track use - off street use anything goes.

He's never done a swap due to the cost and complexity. He has a 78 mint MB 4d Gwagon looks brandnew very cool truck diesel. Has a early 80's Unamog something or other with hydrolic lift bed side and back tilt. Cherry 1985 MB diesel 300TD wagon with 40,000 original miles. He finds the gems keeps em then sells them for top dollar.

Diesels are on the way just a little while longer and we'll have a few very cool options. Though I'm partial to Subaru.

Do you have any links that can enlighten me, I though the CAN bus was just a new protocol for the ECU.
